Our story

Like many great ideas, the seeds of the company were planted after one too many beers in a small local pub in 2016, but it was a couple of years and a few more nights out before things really got started.

 

We had worked together for a number of years and found we shared a similar vision of what is important, both in life and in business … and we’d heard far too many stories and been aware of some really poor practices, and we knew that wasn’t for us.

 

Naming the company was one of the biggest challenges (so much harder than we thought!) and after firing plastic arrows at a whiteboard we settled on the name Covertree. We kept the name for a couple of years, but felt it was time for a change. It was MUCH easier this time, and we came up with the name Feel Financial.

 

This name made so much sense to us, as what we do is give our clients peace of mind and that feeling of security and protection. We help them to achieve life goals with the right mortgage and we support them when things go wrong with the right insurance policy.

 

Growing the company over the last few years and through some tough economic times is something we’re really proud of. But what makes us get up every day is knowing the difference we bring to our clients – and this is reflected in our reviews. We are real people with feelings who are here to help you.

Meet our team

Tim Cole

Founder, Director

Tim has been working in financial services since 2003, with comprehensive knowhow and a can-do attitude that has enabled him to keep adapting to the ever-changing market. At 35, Tim was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and had to go through a series of chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments. Thankfully he is fully recovered, but this made him even more passionate about helping people (as individuals and in their businesses) to protect themselves financially if something goes wrong. 

Tim lives with his wife and daughter. He is very much a family man, but away from the office you will usually find Tim either on the golf course or a tennis court.

Mark Dobner

Founder, Director

Mark started his career in the technology industry but made the move to financial services in 2015, and founded the business with Tim in 2018. From working with both corporate and personal clients, his wealth of experience and abundance of knowledge are the foundations to his advice. With customer service at the forefront of his mind, Mark’s goal is to provide the best and right advice to each client and ensure they have a truly excellent experience from start to finish.

 

Mark is a keen scuba diver and has been lucky enough to dive some of the world’s most spectacular reefs and wrecks. 

Brendan Morris

Mortgage & Protection Adviser

Brendan has been working in financial services since 2001. Starting in Banking and later moving in to mortgage advising. Brendan had a passion to ensure clients can achieve their property goals through having an in depth knowledge of lenders and supporting people through the journey. Whether it is 1st time buyers to buy to let landlords.

Brendan loves his rugby and if it is not coaching juniors in his spare time will be trying to catch a game with his season ticket at Harlequins.

Jack Hayes

Administrator

After leaving college Jack joined the fire service working his way to become Leading firefigher and then on to become Sub Officer, with responsibilities to lead a team of firefighters as well as prevention, protection, and community engagement activities.Alongside his career in the fire service, Jack has worked in financial services as a paraplanner and more recently as an administrator working alongside Brendan. Jack is working towards becoming a fully qualified mortgage and protection advisor.

 

Jack lives with his wife and two children and in his spare time, can be found enjoying a round on the golf course, often with mixed results.
